GRAB THE MAP

INVESTOR. EDUCATOR. PODCAST HOST.
Real estate gave me a different kind of classroom.
I'm Johnoson Crutchfield, founder of Grab the Map. Before real estate, I was a teacher and school principal. I still like helping people understand the work. Now the questions are different: Does this property fit? What are we missing in the numbers? What needs to happen before the next purchase?
I buy and operate property, and I share what I learn through the Grab the Map podcast, articles, and coaching conversations.

More properties bring different questions.
I started buying property in 2018. Growing a portfolio taught me that owning more units and running a healthier business are different things. Collections, expenses, financing, project delays, and the people doing the work all matter.
I've lost money, made mistakes, and had to change my approach. Those experiences are part of what I teach. The useful lesson is what changes before the next decision.
Learning should change what you do.
A good book or conversation can give you a starting point. Then you need buying criteria, a way to evaluate opportunities, people you can learn from, and time to follow through. That is the connection I want to make in my teaching.
